McLaren Racing has partnered with Tezos to establish a new multi-year technical partnership between Formula One, INDYCAR and eSports. At this point, Tezos has become the official blockchain partner of the McLaren team.

Due to its energy-saving network and renewable technology, the racing brand specifically chose Tezos to represent its debut on the NFT blockchain. Specifically, they intend to create a non-fungible token (NFT) platform with “fan experience” as its core.

Lindsey Eckhouse, director of e-commerce and e-sports licensing at McLaren Racing said:

Tezos and McLaren Racing have jointly created a unique fan-centric NFT platform, which is an innovative step in an exciting and fast-growing industry. At McLaren, we are known for putting fans at the core of everything we do. This is another partnership that allows us to enter a space where fans can own a key part of our team. We look forward to launching this platform with Tezos and creating custom NFTs with our Formula One, INDYCAR and eSports teams.

In the end, the partnership confirmed that Tezos will represent the McLaren Formula 1 and Arrow McLaren SP teams. Likewise, McLaren will wear all of their racing suits on behalf of Tezos. In particular, these suits will be worn by McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo and AMSP drivers Pato Oward and Felix Rosenquist.
